October Students of the Month

Hannah Stapleton and Demitri Macchour were named as the October Fuel Up Students of the month during our November student assembly.  Mrs Zennner had the following to say about these students:

Hannah is a great role model and as an older student she does a great job of encouraging younger students to eat healthy and stay active.  She is always offering to help out with Fuel Up events and is willing to take on any chore given to her.

Demitri is an athletic kid that always gives 100%.  Mrs. Zenner is pretty sure that he could run the 3rd and 4th Grade PE class if she was gone.  He is a great helper and is always encouraging other students.  He often runs extra laps just to help other kids get their laps done by running with them.

Congrats to Hannah and Demitri!  Keep up the good work!!

Nezperce Receives Grant

Mrs. Zenner recently found out that the school has received the Fuel Up to Play 60 Grant that she applied for this year.  Congrats to Mrs. Zenner on working so hard for this program and getting the funding to continue this great program.  Grant money will be used for the Fuel Up to Play 60 Gymnastics this spring, Taste Test Friday's, purchasing Fuel Up Prizes for students, and for purchasing equipment for the school garden to grow our own pizza ingredients.
